What is VorpX ?

	What is VorpX ? VorpX is a driver for Windows 7/8/10 that let you play almost any DX9/10/11 and OpenGL game in "VR". Recently with the help of DGVoodoo2, also DX7/8 games. Please read about "VR and not VR"" below !
	Why VorpX ? Just because its the best peace of software you can buy to play new and old !! games in stereoscopic 3D with your VR Headset. If you are thinking of "Bigscreen" and similar programs, you most probably have not understood what VR is about.Please also read below.
	VR and not VR VR (virtual reality) is relatively new and you only will understand this technique if you have tried it (at a friends house, in a shop etc). Once you have installed your Vive/Oculus etc. you will probably want to play a game in VR. There are some programs that let you display your game in your Vive/Oculus, but ONLY on a big flat Screen. THIS IS NOT VR ! That is displaying a game on a big screen in VR !. - But what you really want is to physically walk around in your game, use headtracking, look up and down, look closer to things (positional headtracking), you want to feel like you are just inside of the game. There are not many games that are programmed to satisfy that (2019). Here is were VorpX kicks in. With this peace of incredible software you can play more then 1000 games (2023) right away in VR (Stereoscopic, not on a flat screen!) , see inofficial list. If there is a game that you dont find on that List, you still can play it on a huge cinema screen (monoscopic) until a 3D profile is availiable. IF VorpX doesnt have (it has for most known games) a 3D profile yet, you can ask for it in the VorpX forum or if your game is older here. Why not always "Stereoscopic ?" The reason for this is that each game is programmed differently by its manufacturer so that it is in need of a so called "profile" which contains a hole bunch of different individual settings, meaning someone needs to equalize the rendering from a game into a profile so VorpX can produce a proper Stereoscopic Output to VR. - That takes time, but almost daily there are new profiles for games either by VorpX or its users in the so called "Cloud". VorpX members can download profiles from there for free. Note: If you own VorpX, you can create own profiles for games, a good help for this is the engine crosschecker. Using a game engine from that list MAY make your not-yet-profile-game work in 3D. In many cases this is a way to make your game which is not yet the list work in 3D by yourself. Note: A game needs to be programmed in a 3D environment, otherwise it will not be possible to play it in stereoscopic 3D. For example "Arcanum" is a pure 2D game and can be only displayed in 2D.
